Jeanne Sturiale

Ms. Sturiale comes to Annese with more than 20 years of experience writing articles, news items and grant proposals on behalf of corporate and non-profit organizations.  Most recently, she worked for 11 years in the business-news department of the Winston-Salem Journal. There she handled section announcements and wrote numerous articles and news briefs on small business, marketing and other topics.

Her previous role was as the assistant executive director of Mercy Hospital Foundation (now part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital System), where she developed financial resources through grant writing, employee campaigns and other activities. Before that, Jeanne was a development associate and grant writer at The Salvation Army of Greater New York.

Ms. Sturiale graduated magna cum laude from Long Island University, New York, C.W. Post campus. After college, she spent more than a year as a volunteer with VISTA, a federal program, developing written communications for Hispanic groups in western Colorado.

Jeanne lives in Winston-Salem with her husband, Michael Rothkopf, a professor at N.C. School of the Arts, and their daughter, Lydia Chun Xi Rothkopf. They are members of Lutheran Church of the Epiphany.
